Nadu sits at the core of The Zoo and is known for her bold moves and beaming eyes. Nadu has over 12 years’ experience and has a track record for provision of bespoke and strategic solutions in event production, programming and experiential marketing.

NADU PLACCA

Nadu has established a tight network around her by being involved in mentoring and managing and expanding team of like-minded event management expertise. This approach to capacity building has ensured her international reputation and ability to replicate this team ethos in a range of countries and cultures.

Nadu is passionate about events experiences and training, and is an advocate for young people in the creative industries; she works to inspire, motivate and support industry trainees to reach their full potential. When Nadu is not leading the pack, she is holiday hopping to top up her tan!

BIANCA CORRIETTE

Bianca is an allrounder for The Zoo, she has a background in cultural relations and completed her Masters degree at Goldsmiths, University of London where her interest was in the role that projects and events have in strengthening cultural ties in inner cities.

She has previous experience in partnerships and project management and works on multiple projects, whilst seamlessly managing The Zoo’s operations.

In her leisure time Bianca can be found in the midst of the latest gallery opening.

CHANTEL LYNCH

Chantel is The Zoo’s Head of Events and loves to put on a spectacular show. She prides herself in being organized and creative and has a knack for attention to detail, concept design, and a contagious enthusiasm to execute her events with prestige.

Chantel has earned her reputation for excellence as an event manager and team leader; she has worked with Nadu (the founder of The Zoo) on various projects and initiatives for over a decade, including in Africa and the USA. The synergies developed over this period shine through in her flawless execution of the client’s concepts and vision; this is achieved whilst maintaining a pleasant, calm and helpful demeanour to ensure an amazing experience all round.

In her down time, Chantel balances her hard work with sweating it out in the gym and enjoying an experimental cocktail or two, after hours.

Ann-Marie Williams

ANN-MARIE WILLIAMS

Ann-Marie is a qualified and skilled Manager, Teacher, Trainer and Coach; this is complemented by both theoretical and practical experience gained over ten years of conceptualisation and realisation of bespoke training packages for events across all sectors.

She is experienced in managing all aspects of project development from completing proposals, bids and grant applications through to forecasting and managing budgets, logistics, health and safety, risk management, safeguarding, operational delivery and evaluation.

Ann-Marie is an innovative thinker with a ‘can do attitude’ who thrives on the challenge of finding solutions to complex problems. A resilient team player who strives for excellence and is described as ‘determined, trustworthy and highly committed to her role, the team and meeting her targets’.

In Ann-Marie’s downtime you can always find her partying at the latest Soca Festival.

Kiana Rodriguez

Event Producer

KIANA RODRIGUEZ

Kiana is The Zoo’s Event Producer. She has over 15 years of experience in the event and hospitality industry and has a diverse background including security, restaurant ownership and a producer of events globally.

Currently living between South Africa and New York. Kiana has produced events for such brands as HBO, RCA and Universal Music Group. She has produced global festivals, album release events, artist dinners, and intimate concerts.

She uses her broad knowledge to aid in all aspects of event management. Although not a huge fan of paperwork, she prides herself in working hard, researching creative and unique ideas to bring a unique vision to each and every event.

When she is not working on events you can find her researching the latest event trends, listening to music and attending shows.

Acacia George

Marketing & Events Manager

ACACIA GEORGE

Acacia George is the founder of ACMG consultancy that focuses on marketing, events and brand development and helps her clients to create memorable brand experiences both online and offline that increase brand awareness and profit margins.

Acacia George has over ten years experience within beauty, events, hospitality and entertainment.

Acacia curated, produced and managed the first international influencer trip for leading hair brand ORS Hair Care in 2016, which was a milestone for setting the standards of experiential marketing to influencers of ethnic backgrounds and showing appreciation to all customers.

She is now part of the Event Management team at The Zoo.

As a foodie, if she is offered, Acacia will never say no to food!

Carlos Harris

Carlos Harris

Carlos is an trained and skilled Events Manager with a passion for design.

With over 10 years experience in the events industry working within both social and corporate events as well as the design industry, Carlos has acquired various skills allowing him to use across both industries to enhance all events he manages.

Carlos doesn’t stay too far from work, so when he isn’t managing events or designing he can be found on holiday… planning said event or designing!

Bliss Moukoko

Events & Training Coordinator

BLISS MOUKOKO

Bliss works with clients and educational institutions across London and in Paris within the music, cultural and entertainment industries, where she directs projects that are influential and have social impact; they also inform future trends within these industries.

She is a confident, creative individual with proven people skills and organisational ability, as well as relevant full time and freelance work experience.

The past five years have given her experience in various roles in event management including: event coordinator, venue coordinator, personal assistant, research and marketing associate, front of house, co-ordination and planning, co-facilitation of events with Capital Extra, Spotify, Somerset House and the Hospital Club, amongst many others.

She loves to travel and has a great passion for food, especially a good cake!

Mpeo Nkuna is a dynamic and skilled corporate lawyer, who has professional experience in two top tier international law firms in South Africa and also an in-house corporate legal advisor.

Mpeo has acquired a wealth of knowledge in the corporate governance and legal commercial space. She is passionate about sustainable women empowerment and equitable representation in the corporate space.

Mpeo seeks to make a meaningful difference to the socio-economic challenges facing the corporate environment by using the skills she has attained in the workplace.

In her spare time, Mpeo loves to read, socialize and enjoy a good drink or 10.

Top of her hobbies list are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mahalia is a Communications Professional who has the belief that a strong communications team can amplify an organisation’s voice and seize the narrative.

Mahalia has worked with a variety of organisations from small business, start-ups, charities and international tech and broadcasting companies giving her insight into varied industries thus diversifying her knowledge and skills.

Mahalia wants to use her passion and skills in communications to enable positive impact within our communities. Working with The Zoo puts Mahalia right in her element.

In her down time Mahalia enjoys reading, climbing mountains and spiced rum but not all at the same time.
